Beginning on January 2nd, we are coming together as a family to pursue God’s heart for the year. As we surrender our bodies and our plates to the Father we stand in full expectation that He will meet with us in fresh ways…that He will reveal more of Himself to us.
Psalms 119:129 - 131
Your marvelous words are living miracles;
no wonder I long to obey everything you say.
Break open your Word within me until revelation-light shines out!
Those with open hearts are given insight into your plans.
I open my mouth and inhale the Word of God
because I crave the revelation of your commands.
Romans 12:1
Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
We are focusing on presenting our bodies as a living Sacrifice. To worship Him with everything that we put our hands to, including the food we indulge in. The goal is to eat whole (real) foods that were originally created by God without preservatives or modifications. The list above is not exhaustive and we ask that you prayerfully partner with this Lord regarding what this time of fasting will look like for you.
We also want to fast during a 16 hour window. For instance, if the first meal of the day is at 11am, your last meal should be finished by 7p to give your body a completely fasted 16 hours.
